Equipment composition of windlass
The windlass is mainly composed of base, support, anchor sprocket, brake, sprocket, gearbox, electronic control system (except manual windlass), etc. The electric windlass has a motor, and the hydraulic windlass has a hydraulic pump station.
The main technical indicators of the windlass include the diameter of the anchor chain, the nominal speed of the anchor, the rated load, the supporting load, several speeds, and the electric system.
The installation of the windlass on the ship should ensure that the wrap angle between the anchor chain and the sprocket is 117-120 degrees.
Ship winch
Marine winches are light and small lifting equipment (see hoisting machinery) that use a reel to wind a wire rope or chain to lift or tow heavy objects, also known as a hoist. The winch can be used alone or as a component in machinery such as lifting, road construction and mine hoisting. It is widely used because of its simple operation, large rope winding volume and convenient displacement.
There are two types of winches, manual and electric. The transmission mechanism of the handle rotation of the manual winch is equipped with a stopper (ratchet and pawl), which can keep the heavy object in the required position. The manual winch used for assembling or lifting heavy objects should also be equipped with safety handles and brakes. Manual winches are generally used in places with small lifting capacity, poor facility conditions, or no power supply.
Electric winches are widely used in places with heavy work and large traction requirements. The electric motor of the single-drum electric winch (pictured) drives the drum through the reducer, and a brake is installed between the electric motor and the input shaft of the reducer. In order to meet the needs of lifting, traction and rotation, there are also double drum and multi-drum winches.
Marine winches series: marine electric winches, marine pneumatic winches, marine ladder winches, marine hand-cranked winches, marine steel rope winches, and marine explosion-proof double drum winches.
Windlass requirements
The windlass is a machine for lifting and dropping anchors, and it is also used as a stranding cable. Our country has the following requirements for windlass:
